Edgbaston Stadium Masterplan

We are holding a public consultation on plans to enhance one of the world’s leading cricket stadiums with a new hotel, stand and hospitality facilities, delivering investment and opportunity for the local community.

Following the successful completion of the first two phases of the Edgbaston Masterplan to transform the stadium into a multi-use sports, commercial and community complex, Warwickshire County Cricket Club (WCCC) is now bringing forward proposals for Phase 3  – the redevelopment of the popular Raglan and Priory Stands and the construction of a brand new 4-star hotel.

The improved stand - which will have the same capacity as the old Raglan and Priory stands – will include a new concourse with enhanced food and drink and hospitality facilities, plus improved accessibility for disabled spectators.

Operated by Radisson Hotel Group, a new Radisson RED hotel, restaurant and bar will be incorporated into the redeveloped stand. This investment will create 134 permanent jobs.

Before finalising and submitting the planning application to Birmingham City Council, WCCC is inviting the community to comment on the plans and share your feedback.

On this website you can find more detail about the proposals, read our FAQs and share your feedback with us.

The hotel will offer a new pitch-facing restaurant and bar, with a terrace and convertible boxes for spectators.

How can I find out more and have my say?

The project team is preparing a full planning application and would like to hear your views as we finalise our plans before submission.

You can submit an online feedback form and your comments by clicking here

You can email the project team at info@edgbastonphase3.com or call Freephone 0808 1688 296 to leave a message and a member of the team will call you back.

22/08

Please submit your feedback by 22 August, so that it can be considered before the plans are finalised and submitted as part of a full planning application to Birmingham City Council. We look forward to hearing your views.
