No – the upgraded stand will have exactly the same seats but with a new accessible concourse with a wide range of food and drinks outlets and better facilities for disabled spectators.

With no increase in stadium capacity, we are anticipating there to be no increase in matchday traffic. There are existing parking spaces available at the stadium. However, we encourage using a sustainable travel option when travelling to the stadium.

The development has been specifically designed to contribute to the development of a continuous roofline, connecting to the South and West Stands, and will therefore stand no taller than the existing stadium.

345 jobs will be created during construction and 134 permanent jobs will be created on completion of the redevelopment.

The new hotel and stands are being designed to meet the highest sustainability standards. We are targeting BREEAM Excellent accreditation, in line with the Club’s ambitious targets around sustainability.

A Construction Management Plan will be put in place to mitigate the impact of noise and construction traffic. This would be secured by condition on the application during negotiations with the planning officers at Birmingham City Council.

Conditional on the planning and construction processes, we hope to see the redevelopment completed in 2027.
